REAPING THE SYNERGIES FROM IMPORTS
With the introduction of mandatory conformity marking, the Russian government has developed a new system that will ensure the step-by-step marking of all products on the market by 2024.
This move was primarily introduced to combat the counterfeiting of products and to provide consumers with a summary of a product’s specifications. Consumers can access the mandatory information by scanning the data matrix code using the corresponding app.
Products must be marked with the data matrix code before entering the Russian Federation.
Because these codes are only given to a Russian companies or importers based in Russia, it is critical to collaborate with a Russian partner to this effect.
